The first MLA-IAS couple in Kerala got married at a simple ceremony held at Kumarakovil, a temple at Thuckalay in Kanyakumari district on Friday.<br />Congress MLA representing Aruvikkara constituency, KS Sabarinathan, and Thiruvananthapuram sub collector Divya S Iyer got married at a function which was attended by close relatives and senior Congress leaders such as Oommen Chandy, Ramesh Chennithala, V D Satheeshan, K C Joseph and Anto Anthony.<br />The couple is planning a reception at Girideepam convention centre in the city by Friday evening. Another reception is planned at VK auditorium Aryanad in Sabarinath's constituency on Sunday.<br />Sabarinathan and Divya confirmed their relationship last month. Sabarinadhan is the son of former speaker and late Congress leader G Karthikeyan and M T Sulekha. An MBA graduate, Sabarinadhan was with Tata Trust before joining politics following the death of his father.<br />The 33-year-old MLA won from Aruvikkara in the by-election in 2015 and retained the seat in the 2016 assembly election. Divya, 32, is a graduate in medicine from CMC Vellore. She got into IAS in 2013. She has previously worked as assistant collector at Kottayam before moving to home district as sub collector.<br />Both are residents of Thiruvananthapuram.<br /><br />
